Martin Tyler is a legend. As a commentator for Sky Sports in the UK he commands great authority and presents the game as no one else in the English-language world can.

Football fans around the world know his special timbre. He is also the voice of ‘FIFA 2018’. Australian broadcaster SBS secured his services, and Martin travelled across Russia to commentate on the biggest matches of the FWC. No matter where he went, a friendly Khaya scout greeted him at the airport, escorted him to his car and checked him into his hotel room. Khaya’s team played its role so that Martin could focus on his work. Martin wasn’t the only superstar supported by our staff across Russia. In total, we looked after clients from 32 countries, which ranged from individual guests to groups of 400 people.

Lost luggage and phones Many of our clients had hectic travel schedules, where they needed a lot of ground support. A certain photographer managed to cover 24 matches. Needless to say, our transport department went into overdrive, with some of our staff working 18 hours a day. We helped to locate many pieces of lost luggage, arranged last-minute transfers and flights, and even had to help an overworked guest to get to hospital. One accreditation was lost, as well as seven mobile phones – and everything was recovered.

The YE’S Aparthotel in Moscow was fully booked for the duration of the event.
