Entering a new country is always an adventure.

Not only for travellers, but also for a destination management company like Khaya. When we first set foot in Korea it was a big step for us – our first venture in Asia.

Three years later we look back at a highly successful Olympic and Paralympic Games. With
70 000 room nights booked, we were the No. 1 accommodation agency, apart from POCOG, the PyeongChang Organizing Committee. The Khaya crew transformed 1 000 apartments into guest accommodation. Our team furnished half of these completely and upgraded the rest to turn them into comfortable homes for long-staying guests.

We serviced 61 clients from all continents, and the general response was overwhelming. 54% said that their experience said that their experience with Khaya in PyeongChang was excellent and 44% rated it as good.

The biggest compliment arrived in the form of a letter from none other than Andrew Parsons, President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). The IPC, together with several National Olympic Committees, booked out our apartments during the Paralympics, where the demand for accommodation is less and clients can choose from a wider variety. This acknowledgement proofs that Khaya made a lasting impression and offered the best service at the best prices.

We are committed to repeating this level of service at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia, the Rugby World Cup in Japan, Tokyo 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
