A year of promise lies ahead

2018 will be an exciting year for everyone involved in the world of sport. Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup promise to be amazing highlights on this year’s calendar.

The Final Draw at the Kremlin in Moscow was a well-orchestrated event, something Russia’s sports world is known for.

Fans and media from every corner of the globe descend to celebrate these momentous occasions.

Khaya’s team in Moscow is excited to play a pivotal role. The team has been working hard to secure hotels in all the host cities.

The day it got bitterly cold

PyeongChang 2018 is being praised for its short distances. In over 30 years the venues for the winter Games haven’t been as compact. PyeongChang might also become famous for the coldest Opening Ceremony in a long time. When the sun sets, temperatures quickly drop to minus 10 degrees. Fans seem to be aware of this, as tickets (even for the showcase
events) are still readily available.

Only the architects seem not to have done their research properly.
A test event in November at the Olympic stadium went horribly wrong, when at the K-Pop concert 10 people were hospitalized suffering from hyperthermia.
The Organizing Committee is hastily installing more glass panels to prevent the wind ripping through the massive 50-thousand seater stadium. Each guest will receive a blanket to keep warm.
